Wednesday of the First Week of Advent
Reflection Questions
"On this mountain the Lord of hosts will provide for all peoples a feast of rich food and choice wines, juicy, rich food and pure, choice wines."  What is the "feast" that the Lord has offer you today? What are the moments today when God has offered you nourishment for your soul?

"The Lord God will wipe away the tears from all faces."  How do you feel when you hear this statement...comfort and reassurance or doubt?  Has someone in your life that has offered you comfort in a time of sadness? Where was God in that moment?

"The crowds were amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the deformed made whole, the lame walking, and the blind able to see, and they glorified the God of Israel."  What amazing instances of healing have you seen...physical or spiritual?  Was time taken out to glorify God after the healing occurred?

"Then he took the seven loaves and the fish, gave thanks, broke the loaves, and gave them to the disciples, who in turn gave them to the crowds.  They all ate and were satisfied."  How do we share with those in need around us?  How can we offer nourishment to others as Jesus did?  What would happen if we all extended kindness and compassion to those who are hunger and in need?
Prayer
God of abundant love, we thank You for all the ways in which You offer comfort and nourishment to us.  May we learn to follow Your example and offer food and rest to the weary among us, both for their body and their soul.  May we always remember to glorify You in how we live our lives and be always grateful for the healing of our brokenness. Let us live in the house of the Lord all the days our lives!
